There were always pets around while Caitlin was growing up. There were a wide variety, ranging from rabbits to dogs and rats to cats. She was raised loving the outdoors and all its creatures. While living in New Brunswick, Caitlin volunteered to walk dogs for the Fredericton Humane society. She loved being able to help these magnificent animals escape the hum drum of their normal routine. This continued when Caitlin's family moved to Ontario and they fostered dogs from the Georgian Triangle Humane Society before they were fortunate enough to build a full time shelter.
Growing up in a family where her mother was a gardener and her father a survival instructor ensured that she spent more time outside than in. She is more comfortable in the woods than in the city and loves to explore new trails and opportunities. Having spent a large portion of her life in the Wasaga Beach area, Caitlin has a good knowledge of the local trails and back roads.
Arro is a mischievous Border Collie X who enjoys nothing more than running free with Caitlin. She enjoys meeting other dogs (especially those who will play with her). Although she is playful and full of energy she seems to understand when she has to be gentle whether playing with her adopted brother (Peewee the kitten) or older dogs at the dog park.
